EGC Club Shoot - March 2006

The club held its annual shoot for members to celebrate the end of the membership recruitment campaign. An "Action Shoot" format was used, where scenarios, or stages,  are set up that require participants to use several different skills, such as shooting multiple targets, reloading, shooting from behind cover and moving to alternate shooting positions. Scores are based on both accuracy and speed. There is a friendly competition to see who wins but safety is paramount and safe gun handling is stressed always.

Not every stage begins with the shooter standing facing the target. Jeff has to load his empty magazine, then engage the target. the clock is running!

Some stages require shooting from behind cover

Targets are engaged at various distances Some stages require shooting with one hand only

Scoring targets after someone has completed the stage.

Targets are scored after each shooter. It's a community event and here is where the good natured "ribbing" occurs

You mean I have to shoot from behind that  "bush"?!
